Nuracque is a three-day event featuring gatherings, tours, and workshops that bridge land and water in the Nurachi area—the oldest village in Sinis, a cradle and crossroads of knowledge. A community, a tradition, a story worth telling.
This project stems from a philosophy of life that brings together people, agriculture, the environment, and culture. Nuracque means identifying the primordial characteristics of the place and bringing them into the present; it means allowing the place to come alive and dwell within us. The Nurachi region is rich in wonders that deserve to be connected and shared: mud-brick houses, rush-thatched huts, boats made of marsh hay, and unique flavors and recipes are just a taste of what you can experience every year on the first weekend of October.
There are many locations to explore and experience during these days of gatherings and activities: starting with the Peppetto Pau Museum, a historic manor house built of unfired bricks, where you can meet local men and women who are the guardians of memory and tradition; the enchanting and spectacular lagoons and natural oases of Pischeredda; all the way to soaking up the atmosphere of the ancient Sardu and Caddeo earthen cellars located in the town’s historic center.
