Project Title: Terra cruda
Terra Cruda is a system project in the regional territory around the human resource of minors under judicial measures and the material resource of raw earth. These two elements attracted the interest and operational strength of the actors – of the paternariat and the network – so that they would put in place skills and capacities such that direct beneficiaries would be guaranteed an important opportunity to be welcomed in original places and contexts that are as simple as they are useful, in which to learn to live, know and work.
Purpose of the project
The project has a social-educational and social-work reintegration purpose through the experience of training and work with the ultimate goal of creating within the group of fifteen recipients a business nucleus operating in the eco-friendly construction and restoration sector.
Planned actions:
1. the training of 200 hours divided between professionalizing and laboratory subjects and basic subjects of a total duration of about 3 months to be held at the ENAIP headquarters in Iglesias;
2. the job placement of all recipients for a period of twenty weeks with an employment contract for all those of age and with an apprenticeship/work placement relationship for all others. This insertion will take place in an industrial shed in Iglesias perfectly set up and organized for the activity of producing unfired earthen products.
Transnationality
The project includes the co-participation of a French partner. The exchange with the Association “Le Village” of Cavaillon, will bring a contribution to the partnership both on the level of the empowerment process of the youth subjected to judicial measure and on the purely technical and commercial level for the development of the social cooperative operating in green building.
The Employment Contract
Provides for the establishment of an employment relationship for all fifteen boys. The 18-year-olds will be contracted by the San Lorenzo cooperative with a subordinate-type, part-time contract at the first level of the CCNL for social cooperatives. The minors, on the other hand, will benefit from an apprenticeship or internship relationship at the same hourly conditions and economic treatment applicable to adults.
Residency for off-site
For off-site youth, residency is guaranteed in a suitable facility identified in Iglesias and with ongoing educational support for the duration of the project and fully paid for by the project.
