The project involves the restoration of four earthen buildings in the municipalities of Decimoputzu, Siliqua, Vallermosa and Villaspeciosa, to transform them into spaces that are environmentally, socially and economically sustainable. Houses as garrisons of sustainability and from which sprout innovative projects for the progress of local communities. <\/p>\n\n
The rehabilitation of the buildings will have to be participatory in nature so that the construction site itself represents a knowledge transfer aimed at local communities on techniques for the recovery of traditional earthen buildings. The houses should represent garrisons of sustainability. <\/p>\n\n
The houses should tell the story of the culture of building with raw earth, to inspire future restorations by private owners of raw earth buildings. They will have to have a guesthouse space to do small hospitality; a fully equipped kitchen; a space to host workshops, laboratories, for experiential tourism activities; a workshop to allow local producers to independently transform the products of agriculture into natural preserves, jams and essential oils for cosmetics inspired by Sardinian folk medicine; the courtyard will have to host a small vegetable garden. Where possible, a workshop space to conduct courses and demonstrations of traditional craft techniques (basketry, weaving, etc…) to be offered as experiences in the field of ecotourism and sustainable and experiential tourism. <\/p>\n\n
For the management of the spaces, the creation of a “community cooperative” that can take care of the asset returned to the community is hypothesized. To create positive economic spin-offs and job opportunities, the four houses will be connected by a local sustainable mobility system in a way that facilitates their use by responsible travelers and residents of the four municipalities. <\/p>\n\n
There are three main lines of action proposed and to be put into system for the sustainability of the project: the creation of a supply chain for the production of materials for green building; the creation of a community cooperative that can offer experiential tourism to be included in the “earth house tour”; and the definition of innovative marketing systems for the online proposal of the experiential tourism offer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
