A number of Domus de jans and several nuraghi have been found in the locality of Sa Ginestra, including Franghe Morus and Sant’Antoni.

Large portals facing the village streets lead to typical local dwellings, built mainly of schist and trachytic stones, or with traditional “in làdiri” (unfired bricks).

In the countryside of the village, near the Lanessi stream, is the small church of St. Anthony. Erected in the 12th century in the Romanesque style, it was originally part of a Benedictine monastery. All that remains of the original church today are the side walls and apse, decorated with Romanesque double-arched arches.

In July, Segariu revives the ancient technique of making fired tiles by organizing the “Tebajus” event. The program includes the possibility of witnessing the creation of the typical tiles and their baking, as well as an exhibition of typical products and an exhibition of local handicrafts.

Segariu’s other two important festivals are the celebrations in honor of St. Sebastian, on January 19, with the traditional votive bonfire, and the feast of St. Anthony, on June 13, with a procession in honor of the saint and a display of traditional local products.

["post-13349","citta-della-terra","type-citta-della-terra","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
